Our Research
The Grid Integration Group (GIG) works to make the evolving smart electric grid compatible with the requirements of electric system grid operators and electric utility companies while serving the needs of electricity customers. The emergence of inexpensive sensing technology, the development of modern data-analytics methods, the widespread use of controllable loads and energy storage such as building HVAC systems and electric vehicles, all combine to offer a spectacular opportunity to reliably, resiliently, and securely de-carbonize the electricity grid.
